Electrolux range repair in Las Vegas

Freestanding and slide-in Electrolux ranges — all-gas ECFG, dual-fuel ECFD, induction, and earlier ICON and Wave-Touch models.

Short answer: Electrolux range problems usually involve the oven heat source (gas igniter, bake/broil/convection elements), the oven temperature probe that the control relies on, surface ignition (caps, igniters, spark switches and module), or the control and relay boards. Current ECFG/ECFD ranges display Err plus a number; earlier electronic-control ranges use F codes. The code and model together point to the right test.

Things worth knowing about Electrolux ranges

  • On these ranges an error shows as Err and a number on the display while the buzzer sounds intermittently.
  • On ECFG gas ranges the convection fan intentionally waits — it starts only after a 6-minute delay or once the set temperature is reached — to let gas combustion establish. A fan that does not start immediately is normal.
  • Orange or yellow burner flames can be caused by humidity, room humidifiers and airborne particles, not only by a burner fault; the manufacturer lists these as causes to check.
  • A tech tip addresses a cooling fan that runs constantly on 36-inch ECFG/ECFD ranges; diagnosis is at the main power board.

Common problems

Err 1 and Err 2 on ECFG / ECFD ranges

Both point to the oven temperature probe. Err 1 means the control is not reading the probe correctly (damaged or disconnected); Err 2 means it read an excessive temperature, most likely from a faulty probe. Electrolux tech tip CKTT0222 gives the technician's flowchart for Err 2 on ECFD and induction models. The probe and its connection are tested before the control is suspected.

Burners that won't light

On a gas cooktop or range top, most ignition problems are mechanical and safe to check: a cap that isn't seated flat, clogged ports, or moisture after cleaning. The gas burner guide covers the safe checks; spark modules, switches and gas valves are technician work.

Gas safety

We never ask homeowners to adjust gas valves, regulators or burner orifices. If you smell gas, do not light anything or operate electrical switches — leave the home and call your gas utility from outside.

Estimated repair ranges represent typical repairs under normal service conditions. Your final cost depends on the exact model, the parts required, supplier pricing and availability, what diagnosis finds, and the labor involved. Additional labor may be needed when the appliance has to be pulled out, uninstalled and reinstalled, or when cabinetry, trim, panels or other components must be removed to reach the failed part. Parts prices change with supplier availability, market conditions, shipping and import costs. You receive the final repair price for approval after diagnosis and before any repair work begins. The $75 service call is applied toward an approved repair. Labor is covered by our 90-day labor warranty, and qualifying parts carry the applicable 1-year manufacturer warranty.

Frequently asked questions

My gas oven takes a very long time to preheat. What usually causes it?

A weakening oven igniter is the most common reason on gas ovens: it glows, but not hot enough to open the gas valve promptly. A technician measures the igniter circuit to confirm.

The convection fan doesn't start right away. Is it broken?

On Electrolux ECFG gas ranges, no — the fan is programmed to wait up to six minutes, or until the set temperature is reached, so gas combustion can establish.

Do you repair Electrolux wall ovens and cooktops too?
